Educational Qualification
1. Technical Assistant (P.H. Lab):
Candidates must hold any one of the following qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Dairy Chemistry / Food Technology / Food & Nutrition, OR
- B.Tech in Dairy / Oil Technology, OR
- Degree in Veterinary Sciences from a recognized University in India, OR
- Associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysis, OR
- Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Selected candidates will be required to undergo specialized training programs as specified by the Food Authority periodically.
2. Laboratory Assistant (P.H. Lab):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (B.Sc. – Chemistry).
- Preference will be given to candidates with laboratory work experience.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 35 years (as on 24 October 2025).
- Upper age relaxation will be applicable to reserved category candidates as per Gujarat Government norms, but shall not exceed 45 years.
- SMC regular employees are exempted from the age limit.
Pay Scale
Technical Assistant (P.H. Lab):
- Training Period: Fixed monthly stipend ₹18,500 for the first 3 years.
- Pay Band: ₹9,300 – 34,800 (Grade Pay ₹4,400).
- Pay Matrix: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400.
Laboratory Assistant (P.H. Lab):
- Training Period: Fixed monthly stipend ₹17,500 for the first 3 years.
- Pay Band: ₹5,200 – 20,200 (Grade Pay ₹2,800).
- Pay Matrix: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300.
